Bo Bo Gnar Gnar LP/CD (CW012)
Sure to become a fucking favorite of many old-schoolers out
there and perhaps somewhat of a cult-classic to some extent (well - in
this neck of the woods anyway), S.T.R.E.E.T.S.,
yes with all those periods which represents Skating Totally
Rules Everything Else Totally Sucks,
lay out the fucking shreds with this album of fist-pumping skate rock
in the vein of late 80's and early 90's crossover punk (a little The
Faction, a little DRI, etc.) complete with the shout-alongs
and hot axe lixx.
This band, containing former members of our own Mercury
The Winged Messenger (and for all you Vancouverites, members of long
lost bands like Ex Dead Teenager and Pebble), S.T.R.E.E.T.S.
tells it like it is: cops busting up the infamous Georgia Street house
party, shredding with bros, and worms. Yeah, pick this shit up! Released
early 2003.
