Conquests of strange lands! Armies of orcs and goblins!
Mighty towers festering with the rotting flesh of black, demon knights!
Mystical swords! Quests for treasure and fulfillment! Oars from Viking
ships dipping into the fjords of Norway! This is the world of Vancouver's
Mercury The Winged Messenger: a rockin' six piece (three guitars!) formed
from various local hardcore/punk bands. Imagine Karp, Iron Maiden,
Deep Purple, Sabbath, Rush, and The Fucking Champs
all in one band. This band has now broken up, with members now playing
in Black Rice,
and Streets.
On the flipside we have Toronto's Hacksaw which
provide balls out rawk: imagine a more punker Mötorhead or
AC/DC. Ex-members of hardcore bands Chokehold and Uranus.
